1. TECHNICAL QUIZ

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

  • This is a team event consisting of a maximum of 3 members per team. The team must be registered at the time of online registrations only.
  • The team members must be of different year’s but must be from the same college
  • The competition will have three rounds and a screening round based on the count of participations.

2. TURN COAT

Turn Coat is an extemporary event where the topics are provided on the day of the event and each participant would be given 2 minutes to prepare.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

  • The participant shall begin the debate immediately, and Introductions need not be necessary.
  • The participant has to debate the both sides of the topic themselves i.e., they would be speaking both 'For the topic' and 'Against the topic'.
  • The participant must begin with speaking FOR the the motion of the house for ONE MINUTE, and shall then SWITCH their stance to AGAINST the motion of the house for ONE MINUTE.
  • Following the one minute against, the person shall again SWITCH their stance to FOR the motion of the house for ONE MINUTE, and then again SWITCH to against the motion of the house for ONE MINUTE.
  • Following the two switches, the person shall conclude their speech by giving a ONE MINUTE Summary which would encompass all the topics discussed.
  • In short, the time frame goes like this:

2 mins - Preparation time.

1 min - For
1 min - Against
1 min - For
1 min - Against
1 min – Summary


3. ADZAP

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

  • This is a team event consisting of a maximum of 3 members per team.
  • The components related to the event will be given by the organiser
  • The decision of the judges and event head shall be treated as final and binding on all. 

4. TEACHING FISH

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

  • This is an Individual competition.
  • Participants have to explain a topic related to Thermal, Production or Design for upto 15 - 20 minutes.
  • The maximum time given to each participant will be 20 minutes..
  • Presentation skills, body language and few other parameters are judged.
  • The decision of the judges and event head shall be treated as final and binding on all. 

5. MECHONZ HUNT

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

  • This is a team event consisting of a maximum of 5 members per team.
  • The participant must find all the various parts of assembly which are hidden around campus based on the clues given by organiser.
  • The clues must be understood clear and all the components will be available in college only.
  • The event ends with the team making a successful assembly with components acquired through clues.

6. CAD CONTEST

  • This is an individual event.
  • The Participants must work on AUTO CAD, CATIA or CREO
  • The decision of the judges and event head shall be treated as final and binding on all. 

7. PROJECT EXPO

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

  • This is a team event consisting of a maximum of 5 members per team.
  • A team member can participate in only one project.
  • The Requirements for the expo must be mentioned priorly through mail/phone/while registration.
  • The Project must be displayed two days without fail.
  • The decision of the judges and event head shall be treated as final and binding on all. 

8. LINE FOLLOWER

  •    It’s time to test your basic robotics skills! a line follower robot is an automated vehicle capable of following a line without any human intervention.
  • Problem Statement

          Design an autonomous robot capable of following a guided path on the ground the guides shall be lines or/and walls the accuracy of the robot in following thpath in shortest time will be the judging criteria.

Robot Specifications

  •  The robot, while starting on the track, should be a maximum size of 25cm x 25cm x 30cm.
  •  The robot should be completely autonomous. once on the track, no wired/wireless communication with the robot is allowed the robot should follow the given track on its own.
  •   Power source (battery/solar panels) for the robot should be on the body of the robot no external sources of power to the robot are allowed.
  •   All types of microcontroller/development boards (Arduino /lego /vex, etc.) and sensors to solve the problem statement are allowed.
  •   The maximum permissible weight for the robot is 10 kilograms.
  •   The robot shall undergo strict weight and dimension checking, if it violates the above specifications, it shall be disqualified.
  •   The participants are solely responsible for the safety of their robots and equipment. The organisers are not responsible for any incidents/accidents caused by participants or their equipment.
  •   Potential difference between any two points at any time during competition cannot exceed 24v. We understand that a battery rated at 24v can exceed by few volts when fully charged.

General Format                                                                     

         The competition is open to all .

    Round

      The robot should follow a given line path on the ground without wandering off the track in the shortest time. the robot is free to take a pre-programmed path.

General Rules

         The time for completion of the track from start to finish shall be measured by a stopwatch. time will not be paused in case of robot wavering off the track or other circumstances.

         A robot cannot be imparted any momentum initially or during the time it is on the track.

         Participants are strictly not allowed to touch their robot at any point on the track.

         teams of 3-5 people are allowed.

         If a robot wavers off the track, it must reacquire its position on the track where it lost contact or any preceding point on the track. a robot that loses the line course will be given a single reattempt. the robot must start the track again from the beginning, and if it loses the line course on its second attempt, it shall be disqualified from the event.

        A robot that wanders off the arena boundaries will be disqualified. a robot will be judged to have left the arena if one wheel/leg is found to be completely outside the boundary drawn.

         The robot should not damage the arena under any circumstances.

Track Specifications

  •  The thickness of the line path will be uniform and equal to 3 centimetres.
  •  The lines will be black in colour, on a white background.
  •  The path may consist of straight lines, hairpin bends, acute angled bends, crossovers (intersecting lines) and curved lines.
  •  When actual path which is to be followed by the robot will be disclosed only during the event.

9. TERRAIN TRACK RACE

  It’s time to test your basic robotics skills! a rover is an all terrain robot which must capable to cross the track at any stage .

Problem Statement:

       Design a manual robot capable of crossing any type of terrain.

Robot specifications

  •  The robot, while starting on the track, should be a maximum size of 25cm x 25cm x 30cm.
  •   It can be of wired or wireless .
  •  Power source (battery/solar panels) for the robot can be onboard /off the body of the robot. no external sources of power to the robot are allowed.
  •  All types of microcontroller/development boards (arduino/lego/vex, etc.) and sensors to solve the problem statement are allowed.
  •  The maximum permissible weight for the robot is 5 kilograms. Tollerence 5%
  •  The robot shall undergo strict weight and dimension checking. if it violates the above specifications, it shall be disqualified.
  •  The participants are solely responsible for the safety of their robots and equipment. the organisers are not responsible for any incidents/accidents caused by participants or their equipment.
  •  Potential difference between any two points at any time during competition cannot exceed 24v. we understand that a battery rated at 24v can exceed by few millivolts when fully charged.
  • Batteries can be ni-cd lipo solar etc . Leakage batteries are not allowed

General rules

     Only one robot is allowed for team .

     For team 4 members

     The time and penalty given by volunteers will be considered.

     Member of different team must be distinct .

     No trials will be given before the event .

     Organizers will not be responsible for any interference in case of wireless communication .

     Any robot that has unable to complete in desired time will be given just a single re attempt that must stared from the beginning.

     Power supply will not be provided by the college team should be self equipped .

Track specification

  • The Width  of the track will be 40cm & can be reduced to 30 in midst of arena .
  • The terrain  can be elevations & depressions will not exceed 45 degrees sand oil , pebbles , mud etc
  • The track of arena will be shown on the day of event.

Judging criteria

     50  bonus  points  will be awarded  for wireless robot

     Time and perfection in navigating are of important in each stage

     The time for a completion from start to finish shall be measured by the volunteer with stop watch

     Time will not be paused In case of skipping any stage or any other circumstances in which robot is stuck

     Each team will be given total of 500  points in the beginning team score will be calculated by :

     500-time taken in sec to complete the track-total penalties

     Total penalties = no of side touches*5 +10*(no of hand touches) +20*stage skipping.

     This is to be noted that no of max hand touches and no of skipping stages are two

     At the end the team with  max total points  will be declared as winner.

     In any case the robot is found to be out side the arena will be immediately disqualified .

Note :- In case of any dispute the decision of organizers will be considered as final .
