Electrical Engineering Events

DAY-2 (Dec-22): 

1. Buzz game(small event): For this game each participant has 3 chances. There will be a conductor wire with a loop . In this game the participant should cross the conductor wire using the loop without touching it.

 2. Tech talk: (Medium event) 

Within (minimum and maximum) allocated time the participant must talk about any technological trend.

 3.Tech hunt: (big event) 

Round 1 : Tech quiz Within a given time participants must solve a set of given technical questions common for all branches. The shortlisted participants will move to the next round, which is a tech hunt.

Round 2 :Tech hunt Here 5 to 10 members form a team. Each team will be given a clue which leads to another clue.This goes on until the final clue is found. The team which reaches the winning point first will be announced as the winner.

DAY-1 (Dec-21):

2. Squid game(big event): 

Round 1 : LOGO DISPLAY Various logos of different disciplines(engineering streams and GK) will be displayed.The participants should remember logos in allocated(flexible) time and retain them on an A4 sheet. 

Round 2 : DUMB CHARADES This round is conducted with a team of 2 members. Such that one of the team mates should pick the chit which consists of technical terms and deliver the info of the chit through mono action to another team mate . The other team mate should guess the correct word. 

Round 3 : MINUTE TO WIN IT All the participants are divided into teams. The teams compete with each other and the losing team is eliminated.

 Round 4 : PAPER CANDY Each player is asked to pick a slip. As per the pattern in the slip using a ball pin cut the given shape.

 Round 5 : UCKERS In this game 16 participants will play the game. This is exactly like the ludo. Participants reach the home(winning position) through 8 steps then participants will reach the next level. To place a step they need to complete a task that is given. 

Final round : SQUID GAME The 4 finalists are divided into 2 teams. One player from each team is blind folded and other players give directions to their teammates.

Electronics and Communication Engineering Events

Quiz

Only 20 participants will be allowed to go to the second round of Quiz. In the Second round questions will be displayed through a projector. One question for ten seconds and whoever answers more questions correctly at the end will be the winner.

Circuit Era

Only 20 participants will be allowed to go to the second round of Circuit Era. In the Second round participants will be given a circuit name and the participants will have to build that circuit in a given amount of time. Who builds the closest circuit in less time will be declared the winner.

Scavengers Hunt

  • It is a team event. Each team can have 3 or 4 members. Some of the places inside the campus are chosen and are encrypted into clues. Participants must solve the clue to get to a certain place and after reaching the place they will be handed another clue. Participants have to solve 5 clues like this and should return to the starting place. Those who reach the starting place first will be the winners.

Just-A-Minute

Only 20 participants will be allowed to go to the second round of Just-A-Minute. In the Second round each participant will be shown a slide containing a topic. The participant will be given exactly one minute to talk about the topic. A judge will score them based on their presentation and the winner will be decided based on their scores.

Tech Pyramids

  • Only 10 participants will be allowed to go to the second round of Tech Pyramids. In the second round participants will be given 5 questions in which the answers for them are 5 letters, 4 letters, 3, 2 and 1. Participants have to build a pyramid using teacups that have letters written on them. Whoever completes the pyramid in less time will be the winner.

Civil Engineering Events

SENSE IT

  • Time provided to one material is 2 mins.
  • 7 materials will be given to each

STAAD PRO

  • The task should be completed without getting any errors.
  • The time limit is fifteen to twenty minutes.

Smart Surveyor

A batch should contain three members only.
Stationary items (such as pencil, scale, protractor, set squares etc..)should be brought by themselves.
For “TRAVERSING”, have to find (included angles and lengths of traverse).
For “TRIGNOMETRIC LEVELLING”, have to find (height of the given point).
Drawing sheets and A4 sheets are given by the event co-ordinators.

AUTOCAD

  • The task should be completed without getting any errors in given time period of 20 minutes. 

  • The drawing should be shared with the given email address in   “pdf format”.

SMART BRIDGE

  • The height of the bridge must be less than or equal to 12-inches measured from the bottom elevation (lowest point) of the bridge to the top elevation (highest point) of the bridge (maximum height from top of piers is 11-inches).
  • Structures over the roadway are allowed but must keep space for a vehicle to cross the bridge. The Roadway must be between 4-inches and 7- inches from the top of the piers.
  • The total bridge width must be less than or equal to 5-inches.
  • The bridge’s overall length shall be greater than or equal to 26-inches, but shall not exceed 29-inches.
  • The clear span between the provided supports will be 24-inches.
    Your bridge must weigh 300 grams or less.

BRAIN TAZER

  • For question and answer session fifteen to twenty minutes will be allotted.
  • A batch has to contain all year students (from 2nd ,3rd,4th years).
  • Top listed batches are selected to further rounds.

Matchstick Modeling

  • This is a group event, required two members.

  • We will provide the model.
  • Component should be neat and clear.

TECH HUNT

  • This is a group event, required five members.
  • It is time limited event.
  • Components should be assembled in given time rigidly.
  • Relevant hints are given in four blocks apart from center block and new block.

Every question needs to be answered in 30 seconds.
The total score of each team will be calculated and the top half of the participating teams will be competing in the finals.
Finals
The final round consists of 20 questions
The top two teams will be finalised basing on the end score which will be Winners and Runners respectively.

Pictorial Quiz

1.The quiz will have questions in pictorial form and the participants need to guess the answer basing on the picture. 2.A Team consists of 2 members. 3.In case of a tie between two teams, there will be separately marked questions as tie-breakers. 4.The quiz will be broadly divided into two rounds: 1) Prelims The prelims round consists of 20 questions.

IIB ( Innovate – Ideate – Build )

The teams are provided with basic stationery, craft materials, etc. The teams need to build a prototype from the items provided.
The top two teams are finalised basing on their prototype presentation and are awarded as Winners and Runners respectively.

Stock Wars

Each team consists of 3 members.
This event would test your ability to foresee the future predictions and develop strategies to make profits by trading in virtual stock market.
The top two are decided basing on criteria met by the respective teams by the end of the event. ( The criteria will be briefed during the event).
