Query Cracking is a challenging task for all CSE/IT/MCA Students which tests the knowledge of building a query, breaking a complex query into simpler one, etc.
RULES AND REGULATIONS:

  • This is an individual participation event where the participants must solve few complex queries related to database.
  • Screening round will be conducted.
  • Shortlisted students will be promoted to final round.
  • We prefer the usage of MySql.
  • Participants will be provided the database and the queries that are needed to be solved.
  • Queries with minimum complexity will be given the preference.
  • The decision of the judges will be treated as final and binding on all.
  • Exact team size is 3.(Preferable team is one from 2nd year, one from 3rd year and one from 4th year).
  • 3 Members may not be from same Department. They may be from any department (CSE/IT/MCA).
  • Screening consists of questions from all 4 years syllabus. 
  • There is no restriction for year of study.
  • There will be 2 rounds.
  • Shortlisted students are allowed to participate in the final round.
  • The decision of judges and event head shall be treated as final and binding on all.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

  • A screening test will be conducted. Screening test is an individual event.
  • Shortlisted students will be promoted to final round.
  • Participants can use any programming languages provided(C, CPP, Java, Python).
  • Complexity of code is also considered in judgement.

Rules:

  • Maximum two participants are allowed per poster.
  • The poster can be either handmade or printed on a Flex.
  • Dimensions of the poster will be chosen their convenient of presentation.
  • Posters must be in landscape layout.
  • Each poster must be mounted in the allocated room and/or in the space marked for the poster. Mounting arrangements to be done by participants.
  • All text should be readable at a distance of approximately 1.5 m.
  • One of the participants must always be present at poster side during scheduled poster presentation time.
  • The maximum time duration for explaining the poster will be 6 mins  (4 min for explanation + 2 min for question-answer)
  • The poster must bear Poster Title, Name/s of participant and College which must be positioned at top-center of the poster.
  • There may be no mechanical or electrical devices attached to the poster.
  • There may be no materials placed in front of, above, below, or to the side of the poster.
  • All material must be accessible without having to lift or turn a page.

  • Few electronics components are given like resistors, capacitors, op-amp’s… etc.
  • Make as many possible circuits as you can and show respective output of that circuit.
  • More No.of correct circuit connections with output will be awarded as first.

  • You have to decode the clue which will let you go to the next clues.
  • All the teams are restricted to time frame.

A technical topic will be given to the participant on spot

  • Candidate will be given a 2 minute time to brain storm him/herself.
  • Candidate need to talk for 1 min on given topic.
  • Best speaker is awarded.

This event is advanced event of Paper Presentation.Participant have to present his concept with or without using PPT while using chalk &black board as like professor.

  • Maximum time for each lecture(Presentation) is 10 minutes
  • Power point presentation is  not mandatory
  • Peer(Participants) may ask doubts about the lecture

Marks distribution

  • Total marks: 25
  • Innovative title -05 marks
  • Explaining the concept in less time with clarity-05 marks
  • Body language-05 marks
  • Answering for quaries-05 marks
  • Explaining the concept with Real time Images, figures and examples-05 marks

One person per one lecture only.

  • Judges will be asking technical questions related to the core subjects.
  • Winner will be selected based on the individual performance of the participants.

  • The Requirements for the expo must be mentioned priorly through mail/phone/while registration.

It’s time to test your basic robotics skills! a rover is an all terrain robot which must capable to cross the track at any stage.

Problem Statement:

  • Design a manual robot capable of crossing any type of terrain.
    Robot specifications
  • The robot, while starting on the track, should be a maximum size of 25cm x 25cm x 30cm.
  • It can be of wired or wireless .
  • Power source (battery/solar panels) for the robot can be onboard /off the body of the robot. no external sources of power to the robot are allowed.
  • All types of microcontroller/development boards (arduino/lego/vex, etc.) and sensors to solve the problem statement are allowed.
  • The maximum permissible weight for the robot is 5 kilograms. Tollerence 5%
  • The robot shall undergo strict weight and dimension checking. if it violates the above specifications, it shall be disqualified.
  • The participants are solely responsible for the safety of their robots and equipment. the organisers are not responsible for any incidents/accidents caused by participants or their equipment.
  • Potential difference between any two points at any time during competition cannot exceed 24v. we understand that a battery rated at 24v can exceed by few millivolts when fully charged.
  • Batteries can be ni-cd lipo solar etc . Leakage batteries are not allowed

General rules

  • Only one robot is allowed for team .
  • Team size is 4.
  • The time and penalty given by volunteers will be considered.
  • Member of different team must be distinct .
  • No trials will be given before the event .
  • Organizers will not be responsible for any interference in case of wireless communication .
  • Any robot that has unable to complete in desired time will be given just a single re attempt that must stared from the beginning.
  • Power supply will not be provided by the college team should be self equipped.

Track specification

  • The Width  of the track will be 40cm & can be reduced to 30 in midst of arena .
  • The terrain  can be elevations & depressions will not exceed 45 degrees sand oil , pebbles , mud etc
  • The track of arena will be shown on the day of event.
  • No spot registrations are allowed.

Judging criteria

  • 50  bonus  points  will be awarded  for wireless robot
  • Time and perfection in navigating are of important in each stage
  • The time for a completion from start to finish shall be measured by the volunteer with stop watch
  • Time will not be paused In case of skipping any stage or any other circumstances in which robot is stuck
  • Each team will be given total of 500  points in the beginning team score will be calculated by :
  • 500-time taken in sec to complete the track-total penalties
  • Total penalties = no of side touches*5 +10*(no of hand touches) +20*stage skipping.
  • This is to be noted that no of max hand touches and no of skipping stages are two
  • At the end the team with  max total points  will be declared as winner.
  • In any case the robot is found to be out side the arena will be immediately disqualified .

Note :- In case of any dispute the decision of organizers will be considered as final .

  • Minimum no. of. Slides for presentation should be 10 slides.
  • Maximum no. of. Slides for presentation is 25 slides.
  • Time duration for each team is of 10 minutes.
  • Maximum of 2 members for a team.
  • Topics should be related to  Advanced Mechanical Systems, Recent Trends in Mechanical Engineering.

About VIVA VVIT

VVIT started national level youth fest since 2008 with just 240. It has grown from strength to strength numbering thousands. It has grown from a regional to a national event. This fest has provided a platform to enable them to involve and show their interests and hobbies to the invited gathering of students.   This has in turn increased their confidence, and event management skills and made them feel proud about being involved in the events.

We would like to take it to greater heights by incorporating more events and enabling the students to take the reins of the organizing as well as the decision making process in the fest in a bigger way. The fest is a doorway for learning as well as an entertainment for the students.

Dreams of the students are never-ending just as the outer space has no limit. They follow their passion to fulfill their dream by taking part in various competitions for self-encouragement and enrichment.
